A breathtaking new live performance, exploring our amazing partnership with the horse, a bond that transformed our world. Thompson and Fung have reimagined the three-part CBC television series as a live multimedia event for orchestra and choir.

Shows are available in versions of 80 minutes (55 & 23 min) and 60 minutes (no intermission); 60-minute parts are written with an inserted transition, to allow for one set of rehearsal for the two versions; 60-minute version also available as a family friendly version.

- Rehearsal room should have access to sound system in which a 1⁄8” laptop audio output can be
outputted for the choir to hear and sing to.
Rehearsal with orchestra (2.5 hour)
- if rehearsal is in the same space as performance, technical setup should be that of the performance.
Projection optional.
- if rehearsal is in a different space, it is possible to use a scaled down tech setup:
- musicians will be using headphones
- conductor, narrator, and tech director should EACH have at minimum one monitor or flat
screen television (20” or larger) for their use
- projection optional

- All video and audio systems will be ready for artist approval at least 1 hour prior to the start
of the Dress Rehearsal.

Filmmaker and Narrator Niobe Thompson and Composer and Conductor Darren Fung are available for media interviews remotely and in-person shortly before performances. They welcome opportunities to engage with funders and audience members before and after performances.
