What lies behind a masterpiece? Whether pictorial or musical, it is difficult for the artist to find inspiration without being able to identify the subtle and fragile figures which give birth to creation, nor to succeed in observing those muses without whom nothing would be possible. Accompanied by stage director David Gauchard, the Debussy Quartet wished to question the form(s) of a work through the prism of a painter‘s studio and through his muses, by installing the artist at the heart of a digital and organic stage setting. This brand-new project will appeal as much to the audience as to the quartet, as they observe the instruments being ‘drawn'.
Que se cache-t-il derrière un chef-d’œuvre ? Qu’il soit pictural ou musical, difficile pour l’artiste de trouver l’inspiration sans réussir à mettre le doigt sur les figures, si subtiles et fragiles soient-elles, qui font naître la création, ni réussir à observer ces muses sans qui rien ne serait possible. Accompagné par le metteur en scène David Gauchard, le Quatuor Debussy a souhaité interroger la(les) forme(s) de l’œuvre par le prisme de l’atelier du peintre, et notamment à travers ses égéries : en installant un artiste plasticien au cœur d’un dispositif numérique et organique, ce tout nouveau projet interpellera autant le public que le quatuor, pour que l’instrument (se) dessine à son tour…
